Pasta with Horseradish and Mushrooms

Serves 2

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces pasta, cooked "al dente" and drained
  • 1 Tablespoons butter or olive oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh mushrooms
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 1/2 ounces prepared horseradish

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pasta, cooked "al dente" and drained
  • 4 Tablespoons butter or olive oil
  • 1 cup chopped fresh mushrooms
  • 2 Tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 6 ounces prepared horseradish

Directions

Sauté the mushrooms in the butter or olive oil until limp. Then stir in the flour.

Cook for 2 minutes stirring continuously then stir in the milk and salt and cook until thickened.

Toss the pasta with this sauce and add in the mozzarella cheese and toss again.

Pour into a 3/4-quart baking dish for 2 servings or 3 quart for 6 to 8 servings and spread horseradish on top.

Bake in a preheated oven at 350° F. for 20 minutes or until the top is browned.

Serve hot.
